Najran Specialized Hospital Honored by APTSD President

Dr. Mahmoud Shaaban honors Najran Specialized Hospital for peace and sustainable development excellence

In conjunction with its pioneering role in fostering the values of peace, tolerance, and reinforcing the Sustainable Development Goals, the Peace, Tolerance & Sustainable Development Ambassadors Council participated in a prestigious ceremony held in Najran, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The event marked the occasion of Najran Specialized Hospital achieving Saudi Health Facilities Accreditation (CBAHI) for the third consecutive time.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of the Council’s President, Dr. Mahmoud Shaaban, along with a distinguished assembly of figures from within Saudi Arabia and beyond. Among them was Dr. Jumaa Madani from the United Arab Emirates, in addition to eminent members of the Saudi and Arab social spheres. The gathering embodied a spirit of respect and recognition for the advances achieved in the health sector.

During the event, Dr. Mahmoud Shaaban presented Mr. Ali bin Nasser Al-Qadi, Chairman of the Board of Najran Specialized Hospital, with the Ambassador of Peace & Sustainable Development Medal, and awarded him a First-Class Certificate of Excellence. This honor was accorded in recognition of his exemplary leadership in the medical and healthcare fields, as well as his pioneering humanitarian initiatives aimed at serving the community and elevating the standard of care. The gesture symbolized the Council’s esteem for his contributions and the positive impact of the hospital’s leadership on regional healthcare outcomes.

In his address, Dr. Shaaban delivered a powerful speech highlighting the vital role that medical institutions play in advancing sustainable development objectives. He commended the hospital’s high level of professionalism, its quality-driven efforts, and the remarkable achievement of securing accreditation three years in a row—an indicator of enduring commitment to excellence and leadership in healthcare provision.

The Council emphasizes that this act of recognition aligns with its ongoing mission to support pioneering humanitarian and development initiatives, and to encourage efforts that benefit individuals and society at large. Honoring institutions and leaders who contribute meaningfully to community welfare is not only a source of pride, but also a motivational beacon for others to persevere in paths of service and excellence.

This recognition also underscores the Council’s belief that positive collaboration between the healthcare sector and civil society is fundamental to realizing sustainable development. Supporting health and well-being is a pivotal component in forging prosperous communities. As the Council celebrates this milestone, it reaffirms its resolve to continue honoring those who devote themselves tirelessly to fields of service and innovation.
